Hammond Customs was founded by Joel Hammond in 2023.  Joel is an avid hunter, former Marine, and firearms enthusiast.  He studied basic gunsmithing at Sonoran Desert Institute and has an Associates Degree in Firearms Technology.  

"From the time I was young, I have always had a passion for firearms.  I can remember my grandad got me my first deer rifle at the age of 12.  To this day, my kids are still using that trusty old Remington 700 to hunt with.  Some of the best memories I have are from hunting trips with family.  Anyway, after I graduated high school, I joined the military.  After ten years in the Marines, I wanted to do something in the firearm industry.  Having my own gunsmithing shop and creating my own, custom firearms was seeming like quite the pipe-dream.  I thought that it wasn't a serious idea that I thought I could pull off.  Regardless, I wanted to use my GI Bill for an education.  After doing a few semesters at a conventional college, I found a gunsmithing program which I then pursued.  As I got closer to graduation, the more I wanted my own shop!  So, here we are now.  From the first time I started tinkering with an old rifle of my own, to now building a lot of different firearms, I still love every second of it!  I definitely have a passion for this and I hope that shows true in the level and quality of service that I can provide for my customers."  -Joel (Owner)
